Blending Effects

I will be using a photo of Sommer and Lauren. To see the images bigger, click on them.


First duplicate your image twice.

Your first duplicated layer should say Copy of Raster 1. Take that layer and go to Adjust >> Blur >> Gaussian Blur. Match your settings to mine:


Set that layer to Overlay at 46% opacity.

Then take the second duplicated layer (Copy (2) of Raster 1) and go to Effects >> Distortion Effects >> Wind. Your settings should be: Wind Direction: From right / Wind Strength: 50.

Set that layer to Overlay at 36% opacity.

Now just merge all layers and your done! Here’s how mine turned out:
