Image Effects

I will be using a photo of The Used. To see the images bigger, click on them.



First, duplicate your image and set it to Hard Light at 100%. If you want, you can set it to Soft Light at 100%.

Next, create a new raster layer and fill it with the colour #000d5e. Set it to Exclusion at 73%.

Finally, duplicate the base image again, and drag it to the top of all your layers. Set that layer to Screen at 69%.

You’re all done! Just add some spiffy effects to your image now! Here’s how mine turned out:

This is the Soft Light effect.


This is the Hard Light effect.
