Installing CuteNews Do you want an easy blogging system for your website? Say, CuteNews? Well then, let me explain how you can put it on your site.

First, you have to download CuteNews. Click here to download it.

You’re going to follow the steps to unzip, etc. Make sure you put the CuteNews file in a folder where you will be able to access it.

Now, you will need to open up SmartFTP. You can download a 30-day trial of it here.

Once you’ve opened up SmartFTP, you’ll need to upload the entire CuteNews folder. (Upload >> Add Folder >> CuteNews Folder)

Then click Okay. It will start uploading the folder now. Be patient! It may take a few minutes to upload the folder.

After it’s uploaded, right click on the Data Folder. When the list appears, click Properties.

After you do that, a window should pop up. It will look like this:

Change the Permissions (the highlighted part) to 777. Then click okay.

Now, open up the Data Folder. Highlight everything (Set your cursor over each item while holding Shift).

Then, right click on your highlighted list, and click Properties. Another window should pop up and look like this:

Again, change the Permissions (the highlighted part) to 777. Then click okay.

After you’ve done the above steps, go to your CuteNews URL (http://www.yoursite.com/cutenews) and click the Proceed Installation button.

Now, customise your CuteNews the way you want it, and you’re done! (:, then finish. Wait until another box shows up so you know that the font has been successfully downloaded.
